Botox and Xeomin

Botox and Xeomin are each purified proteins that relax muscles by interfering with nerve impulses that cause muscles to contract. Once the muscles are relaxed, the overlying skin relaxes too, which leads to softening of fine lines and wrinkles. As a group, Botox and Xeomin treatments are the most common non-surgical cosmetic procedure and are consistently ranked high in terms of patient satisfaction.

Botox and Xeomin are most frequently used to soften the forehead “frown” lines, upper forehead lines, and lines around the eyes (Crow’s feet). More experienced injectors also use Botox to soften “bunny lines” on the nose, lines extending from the lips, lift the corners of the mouth, and soften the jaw line.

Botox and Xeomin can be injected in minutes with no downtime. The results take, on average, 2-5 days to start to take effect.
